Statement from Christi Craddick on her Appointment by Governor Perry to the Railroad Commission of Texas

"I am humbled and honored by the trust the people of Texas and Governor Perry have placed in me to serve Texas on the Railroad Commission. I am eager to get to work ensuring the Texas energy industry continues to be a job creator and growing our Texas economy.

"I am ready to get to work for the people of Texas."

Thank You!

Thank you!

We travelled a long road to victory. From a crowded primary, through a difficult run off, to a successful general election, you were with us every step of the way.

I am honored to have been able to travel all across Texas working hard and speaking to voters about the critical energy issues facing our state and our nation, and am humbled by the support I received from industry leaders, Republican Women's organizations, the Tea Party, and Texans like you. Your help in spreading our conservative message of energy prosperity to your friends and neighbors was critical to victory.

As your Railroad Commissioner, I will continue that hard work by fighting to protect Texas energy assets. Your support is even more critical moving forward as new energy harvesting techniques and technologies are threatened by unnecessary interference from DC bureaucrats that would stifle job creation and energy innovation.

We must continue working together to support conservative principles at all levels of government that put Texans and Americans back to work.

I hope to continue earning your support as we move forward. Please take the time to 'Like' us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter to stay informed of our progress and to continue our conservative momentum.

Sincerely,

Christi Craddick

Blessed With Support

Texas has been blessed with the raw materials, talent, and innovation to lead the nation in energy development and job creation for years to come. Our home's vast natural resources provide a path to economic prosperity and energy independence, and we must boldly step into the future by dismantling burdensome regulations that hinder growth.

I grew up in West Texas, the center of the energy-producing Permian Basin. By growing up in Texas' energy and defending our industry through legal advocacy, I have earned a reputation for balancing bold industry growth with citizens' rights. The Texas Association of Realtors trust me with their support: "The Texas Railroad Commission plays an integral role in protecting the rights of property owners...we need leaders like Craddick who understand...property rights."

For these reasons, Texans across the political spectrum have thrown their support behind my campaign. We have been blessed to earn the support of grassroots, business and conservative leaders and organizations from all across the state of Texas, including...

Join these Texans among many others in leading our state into a future of energy independence and production by supporting my campaign today.

Together, we stand for Texas.

Together, we stand to keep Texas as the home for bold individuals seeking a better life.

Sincerely,

Christi Craddick

VICTORY!

Thank you!

Tonight marks a great victory. I would like to thank the voters of Texas for electing me as their Republican nominee for Texas Railroad Commissioner. I commend Rep. Warren Chisum for his service to our state, and wish him well in the future.

To the thousands of people who contributed to my campaign, and helped spread our message; I express my deepest appreciation. Until the November 6 election, I will continue my campaign across Texas to create jobs in the energy sector and oppose unnecessary regulation.

On to the General Election in November!

Railroad Commissioner David Porter endorses Christi Craddick

Current Commissioner says Craddick has the right blend of experience and knowledge

We are so proud to announce the endorsement of current Texas Railroad Commissioner David Porter.

In a statement announcing his support, Commissioner Porter said the following:

"Christi Craddick has the right experience to represent Texans on the Texas Railroad Commission. Her upbringing, education and experience make her the best, most conservative candidate in this race.

“Like me, Christi is from the Permian Basin and understands the opportunities and challenges in the oil and gas industry -- not just among the producers and service companies, but the impact the industry has on our communities and the state. The decisions we Commissioners make on a daily basis don't just affect those who drill; they affect every Texan and every American.

“I look forward to working alongside Christi and am proud to offer her my endorsement."

I am grateful to Commissioner Porter for his endorsement and look forward to getting to work alongside him as we continue the important work of ensuring the Texas oil and gas industry remains a vibrant job creator and can conduct its business without unnecessary interference from the federal government.

Just this week, former Railroad Commissioner Elizabeth Ames Jones joined former Commissioners Michael Williams, Charles Matthews, Barry Williamson and John Poerner in supporting our campaign. With Commissioner Porter’s support, we now have the support of over 40 combined years experience of Texas Railroad Commissioners backing our campaign.

"Those who know the job best know Christi Craddick is the best choice for Texas."

Another Former Railroad Commissioner Backs Christi Craddick

Elizabeth Ames Jones is the fifth former Commissioner to endorse Craddick

Today, the Christi Craddick for Texas Railroad Commissioner campaign announced the endorsement of former Railroad Commissioner Elizabeth Ames Jones. Ames Jones served on the Commission from 2005-2012. Former Commissioner Ames Jones highlighted Craddick’s broad background as the right kind of experience to serve Texans on the state’s energy regulatory agency.

In a statement announcing her support, Ames Jones said the following:

“I have immense confidence in Christi Craddick and her abilities, which are perfectly suited to be put to use on the Railroad Commission of Texas. This election is important because deliberations and decisions made by the three Commissioners are critical to the financial health of our state as well as the health of the domestic energy industry that has come alive in Texas recently. She will protect the private property rights of mineral owners, and she will protect the environment. She will apply her strong conservative convictions and her legal know-how to keep the federal government from usurping Texas’s authority to regulate our own energy resources.

“Christi has the energy that a Texas energy commissioner needs to have to keep up with technological advances that have changed the industry for the better. I am proud to endorse a strong woman with keen intellect and the advanced understanding of the energy industry that comes from being raised right in the heart of the Permian Basin in West Texas, the largest oil field in America’s largest oil and natural gas producing state. Christi’s conservative credentials, complemented by her legal experience and her upbringing in the oil patch, will serve Texas well.”

Ames Jones joins former Commissioners Michael Williams, Charles Matthews, Barry Williamson and John Poerner in supporting Christi Craddick, a combined 39 years experience on the Texas Railroad Commission. Those who know the job best know Christi Craddick is the best choice for Texas.

State Representative Tryon Lewis Endorses Christi Craddick for Texas Railroad Commissioner

We are pleased to announce that Republican State Representative Tryon Lewis has endorsed our campaign for Texas Railroad Commissioner.

Rep. Lewis joined the Ector County Republican Women prior to their monthly meeting in Odessa to announce his support of our campaign. He joins a list of hundreds of conservative, energy and business leaders throughout the state of Texas to voice their support for Craddick’s candidacy. During the event, Rep. Lewis had the following to say about Christi Craddick:

“No one has done more than Christi Craddick to help build the conservative majority in the Texas House of Representatives. Christi is an energetic, problem-solving leader that has worked tirelessly to instill Republican values in our state government, and will bring those conservative principles with her to the Railroad Commission.

“It is important we elect a knowledgeable, reasonable Commissioner who understands our West Texas issues and that will insist on a predictable, fair regulatory climate, allowing us the ability to explore and produce the oil and gas Texas needs. We need Christi Craddick on the Texas Railroad Commission. She will be a strong advocate for Texas oil and gas producers, will protect our tax dollars and will promote pro-growth policies that enable us to create jobs in the oil and gas industry. Christi Craddick is running to replace Elizabeth Ames Jones on the Railroad Commission and she has my full support.”

“I am honored to have the support of this conservative, Republican leader. We agree that in order to grow our economy, we must reduce unnecessary government regulation to give businesses the freedom to create jobs. We need demonstrated, conservative leadership to fight back against Obama’s EPA and stand up for our values. I look forward to working with Rep. Lewis to ensure that Texas continues to lead the way in energy and job creation,” said Christi Craddick.
