Commissioner Craddick Outlines Strength of RRC Regulatory Framework at State Bar of Texas
AUSTIN – Railroad Commissioner Christi Craddick spoke to members of the State Bar of Texas today at their 2015 Annual Conference and Seminar in Austin about the significance of Texas’ endurance and leadership in oil and gas regulations at the Railroad Commission of Texas.
“The shale revolution is leading policy makers to rethink regulatory concepts at a pace we have never seen before,” Craddick said. “Recognized by regulatory bodies worldwide, Texas continues to set the bar for exemplary resource production standards.
“In the past three years, the Commission has addressed new industry processes from top to bottom, including drilling standards, freshwater use, waste disposal requirements, pipeline development, and much more. As this dynamic industry transforms, you can expect that the Commission will remain a thought leader in oil and gas regulation.”
