Craddick Guest-Lectures on Texas Leadership in Energy at UT School of Law
AUSTIN – Railroad Commissioner Christi Craddick today delivered remarks concerning the role of technology and innovation within Texas’ oil and gas industry. Craddick also shared her vision and priorities for a prosperous energy sector during her talk titled, “Fostering Innovation and Solidifying Texas Leadership in Energy,” on behalf of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Center for Energy, Law and Business at the University of Texas School of Law’s Distinguished Lecture Series today.
“Since 2008, we have seen a truly dynamic time for our state’s extraordinary oil and gas industry,” Craddick said. “Despite the current downturn, the energy sector’s resolve and innovative spirit have led to unprecedented resource production and economic growth for Texas.
“At the same time, the Commission has seen the equivalent in regulatory development, leading the country with new rules governing industry practices,” Craddick said. “As regulatory bodies are faced with many different issues surrounding oil and gas development today, we look forward to sharing our long history of knowledge and experience.”
