AUSTIN – Railroad Commissioner Christi Craddick spoke to members of the Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce (TAMACC) at their 40^th Annual Convention and Business Expo in Austin on Saturday. The annual meeting is organized to celebrate the contribution and value of Hispanic Chamber and Business Organizations’ leadership, entrepreneurs, and businesses throughout Texas.

“Today, energy touches almost every facet of life, whether you are aware of it or not,” Craddick said. “It intersects with other industries and has its place in every community, playing a critical role in our world. Without it, we can’t accomplish much. An important part of my job is making sure that information about energy – production, regulation and its use – is available to you so that Texans have the facts about this critical resource. There’s no better partner in helping to distribute that information than our chambers of commerce.”

TAMACC was founded in 1975 and is an association of local Hispanic Chambers of Commerce from across the state with a base membership of more than  20,000 and provides advocacy, technical assistance, programs and services. They advocate for more than 500,000 Hispanic businesses in Texas.
